Title: Analysis of measurement system as the mechatronics system

Abstract: The paper deals with the mechatronic arrangement for angle measuring system application. The objects to be measured are the circular raster scales, rotary encoders and coded scales. The task of the measuring system is to determine the bias of angle measuring standard as the circular scale and to use the results for the error correction and accuracy improvement of metal cutting machines, coordinate measuring machines, robots, etc. The technical solutions are given with the application of active materials for smart piezoactuators implemented into the several positions of angular measuring equipment. Mechatronic measuring system is analysed as complex integrated system and some of its elements can be used as separate units. Title: Creation of the PI angle standard for the flat angle measurements

Abstract: Angle measurements are based mainly on multiangle prisms - polygons with autocollimators, rotary encoders fo high accuracy and circular scales as the standards of the flat angle. Traceability of angle measurements is based on the standard of the plane angle - prism (polygon) calibrated at an appropriate accuracy. Some metrological institutions have established their special test benches (comparators) equipped with circular scales or rotary encoders of high accuracy and polygons with autocollimators for angle calibration purposes. Nevertheless, the standard (etalon) of plane angle - polygon has many restrictions for the transfer of angle unit - radian (rad) and other units of angle. It depends on the number of angles formed by the flat sides of the polygon that is restricted by technological and metrological difficulties related to the production and accuracy determination of the polygon. A possibility to create the standard of the angle equal to π rad or half the circle or the full angle is proposed. It can be created by the circular scale with the rotation axis of very high accuracy and two precision reading instruments, usually, photoelectric microscopes (PM), placed on the opposite sides of the circular scale using the special alignment steps. A great variety of angle units and values can be measured and its traceability ensured by applying the third PM on the scale. Calibration of the circular scale itself and other scale or rotary encoder as well is possible using the proposed method with an implementation of π rad as the primary standard angle. The method proposed enables to assure a traceability of angle measurements at every laboratory having appropriate environment and reading instruments of appropriate accuracy together with a rotary table with the rotation axis of high accuracy - rotation trajectory (runout) being in the range of 0.05 μ m. Abstract: Rapid increase in the car ownership level in the towns of Lithuania cause environmental problems (noise, pollution, etc.). One of the ways to solve these problems would be a wider use of electric cars instead of usual cars. It is important to analyse and substantiate the optimal deployment of plug-in stations in accordance with the chosen criteria, the related problems and the possibilities. Vilnius was selected as a reference point for the installation and integration of plug-in systems for electric cars in Lithuania. For electric cars to be widely used, a plug-in network should be developed in towns. A pilot electric car battery plug-in and switch infrastructure network is planned to be developed in Vilnius until 2015. Different measures should be taken to motivate Lithuania’s citizens to choose green cars, namely: free parking of cars in the downtown area, partial compensation for battery charging, free entrance into the pay zones, free registration of a car, no road charges, etc. Three possible concepts were worked out for the integration of electric cars. Title: Development of the Transport System in the Downtown Area of Marijampole

Abstract: Transport is one of the key issues influencing the quality of life in urban territories. Therefore, it is crucial to find reasonable and sustainable infrastructural solutions to many problems which include traffic flow. Planning, construction or reconstruction of urban transport infrastructures face a dilemma: What alternative is better? Modelling such alternatives is the best way for predicting a future situation and forming strategies and development plans for Lithuanian cities. The article presents analysis of characteristics of the existing transport infrastructure and modelling of transport flows resulted in eight alternatives of the development of the downtown area of Marijampolė. The carried out modelling solves the problems related to urban transport in the down-town area and delivers data for the further economic substantiation. Analysis of modelling data suggests, that two alternatives should be chosen for the further economic substantiation.2010-12-31T22:00:00Z
